JOE GEDEON

REPRESENTATIVE

House District 18 | Hawaii Kai | Kalama Valley

My name is Joe Gedeon and I am humbled to have been selected to complete the remainder of Gene Ward’s term in the Hawaii State House of Representatives. I understand the inimitable degree to which Gene Ward served his district. He was a strong voice for East Honolulu and worked tirelessly to achieve real results. Stepping into these enormous shoes is not something I take lightly, and I plan on following this shining example to continue providing my community with the representation it deserves.

Hawaii Kai is what shaped me into the man I am today. I was born and raised in our community, growing up in Queensgate, Village Green and Hahaione Valley. I went to Kamiloiki Elementary, Niu Valley Intermediate and am a proud Kaiser graduate of the Class of 1997. My first job in high school was at our Koko Marina Blockbuster and as an Eagle Scout I helped restore Koko Crater Botanical Garden following Hurricane Iniki. My roots in this community run deep. All together 11 members of my immediate family call Hawaii Kai home and I am honored to now be able to work on their behalf, and on behalf of all of you, to make our neighborhood as great as it can possibly be for generations to come.
